This summer we are expecting an overhaul of depth at Liverpool. The Reds first team will remain largely unchanged but the backup brigade will likely be thoroughly shaken up. There may also be some rotation options added, retired striker Kevin Phillips firmly believes that Liverpool could move for Jack Grealish.
Jack Grealish leaving Aston Villa in the summer is looking more likely by the day.
The 24-year-old midfielder is his boyhood club’s captain having risen through the ranks and become the main creative force for his side.
This season has seen the best of the often divisive Brummy. In 26 Premier League showings he has scored seven goals and bagged six assists, not a bad return for a midfielder in a relegation threatened side.
Interest in the Englishman is thought to be at an all time high with Manchester United credited with interest by the Birmingham Mail.

Speaking to Football Insider, Kevin Phillips backed Liverpool to move for Grealish:
“Liverpool are at a point where they can splash out on the world’s best. Those world’s best players want to come and play for Liverpool and Klopp.
“The obvious one is Jack Grealish. If Villa go down I am certain he will move on. Could he play for Liverpool? He is the only one out of the bottom three or four teams that could fit in that team.”
What RTK has to say
We have previously dismissed any rumours of Grealish joining Liverpool, we weren’t fond of his disciplinary record.
However, he has found a new level of maturity this season and has spoken out on his previous attitudinal aberrations.
He is an immensely talented player and any side would be lucky to have him, whether or not The Reds could be tempted into splashing the necessary cash on the midfielder remains to be seen.
Manchester United seems a more likely destination, we wouldn’t be heartbroken to miss out on him.
