This summer Liverpool are expected to do a lot of business. The Reds will be looking to build on their best ever Premier League season, they’ll be doing so by clearing out deadwood and replacing them with younger talent with more potential. According to a report in the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool could raise £25m by selling Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Reds first signed the Swiss international in 2018, paying Stoke £13m for the winger.
Shaq arrived with a mercurial reputation, he has played in some great sides during his career and had already won the Champions League by the time he landed on Merseyside.
However, his work rate was always seen as a cause for concern and his attitude was often criticised.
It had become apparent that he was far too good for Stoke and he was well aware of the fact.
The 2019/20 season has been a difficult one for the winger, he has struggled for game time due to a succession of injuries and the form of those ahead of him, despite this he still bagged a goal in the Merseyside Derby in December.
The Liverpool ECHO has reported that Liverpool will look to sell Shaqiri for £25m in the summer, nearly doubling their money on the wide man.
What RTK has to say
Fair enough.
The Reds know how to navigate the transfer market, when they saw that Shaq was available for just £13m they would have been well aware that they would be able to make a healthy profit on him in the near future.
He served a short term purpose and chipped in with some strong performances, we won’t lament his departure and he’ll always have our thanks.
The funds raised from his sale will likely go towards another winger, Jadon Sancho perhaps?
