“Out of order”: Dalglish fuming about Premier League suggestions

There is a decision to be made with the Premier League: how do we finish the thing? The competition has been suspended until early April but whether or not play will be able to resume at that point remains to be seen. With the future of the league up in air, people are scrambling for potential solutions. King Kenny Dalglish has given his verdict on the Premier League problem.

As it stands, Jürgen Klopp’s side has an incredible 25 point lead at the top of the table, despite this chasm between first and second place, they haven’t mathematically secured the trophy.

One more game is all that The Reds need, if they beat Manchester City then that is it, it is over, it is Anfield’s first league win in 30 years.

However, pundits, fans and experts are debating just if and how the Premier League season will end.

There has been theories ranging from a 22 club division next season to completely voiding this campaign, though nobody is listening to Karen Brady – who fed her after midnight?

Writing in the Sunday Post, King Kenny Dalglish has been emphatic about the situation with Liverpool and the Premier League:

“What must definitely not happen is for the 2019-20 campaign to be declared null and void. That would not be fair, and any person with football at heart would admit that would be totally out of order.

“Would any person without an agenda really think it would be the most-sensible outcome to deny Liverpool their chance of winning the title after doing fantastically well in their 29 league games so far to build up a 25-point lead over Manchester City with nine games remaining?”

To rob Liverpool of the title now would be scandalous, if it was the only possible outcome then we would understand – the public health comes before the interests of one football team but it would hurt nonetheless.

Just when we find out how the league will be resolved remains to be seen, this is a very fluid situation, fingers crossed this all blows over sooner rather than later and we can see The Reds lift a deserved league title.
