This summer we expect big things at Anfield. The Reds will be very active in the transfer market as they look to build on the best ever Premier League season. Who will end up on Merseyside is anybody’s guess but some names are being mentioned more than others. According to El Desmarque in Spain, Liverpool have beaten Real Madrid to Kai Havertz.
Havertz is one of the most coveted talents on the continent. The youngster has been enjoying a growing reputation since bursting onto the scene at Bayer Leverkusen.
The midfielder recently became the youngest ever player to reach 30 goals in the German Bundesliga.
In 22 games this season he has netted six goals and bagged five assists, his last campaign brought 17 goals in 33 appearances.
His goal scoring ability is without doubt and he is an even better passer of the ball than his assist ratio would have you believe.
He is constantly involved in the build up and his dynamic running makes him an ideal Jürgen Klopp player.
The Independent believe that he will be available for around £80m in the summer, though Michael Edwards will obviously be driving a hard bargain for the midfielder.
Real Madrid are thought to be interested but El Desmarque has claimed that the Spanish giants have conceded to losing out to Liverpool in the race for Kai Havertz.
What RTK has to say
This could be one of our most important signings of the summer.
Whilst we need reinforcements in attack, adding one of the most promising attacking midfielders in the world to the roster would be a massive statement by The Reds.
Fingers crossed our interest turns into action and we see Havertz at the club by September, he has a decade at the top ahead of him, hopefully that is a decade in a Liverpool shirt.
