Goalkeeper: Adrian – 3

A big error for the first Atletico goal let them in, he should have saved the first two goals.

Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7

Trent put on yet another crossing masterclass and regularly got stuck in.

Centre back: Joe Gomez – 7

The Englishman was stoic at the back, despite some rolling around from Atletico.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk – 7

Big Virg was two steps ahead as ever. A majestic defender without compare.

Left back: Andy Robertson – 7

Robbo did what Robbo does, he raided the left flank with regularity.

Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum – 8.5

Gini Wijnaldum is my best mate. My very best mate.

Centre midfield: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 8

The Ox tries things and sometimes they come off, his cross certainly did for Gini.

Defensive midfield: Jordan Henderson – 8

The skipper kept the tempo up, he kept the lads motivated and determined.

Right wing: Mo Salah – 8.5

Mo was bright, dangerous and always in the right position.

Left wing: Sadio Mane – 7

Sadio had a few poor touches but always remained a threat thanks to his work rate and selfless running.

Striker: Bobby Firmino – 9

Bobby was everywhere in the final third, as you’d expect and he scored a big goal.
