Liverpool are miles ahead of Manchester City at the moment. The Reds are over 20 points ahead of their Mancunian rivals who simply didn’t show up this season. Despite warnings from Raheem Sterling and Pep Guardiola, there can be no doubting that The Reds are favourites to retain the Premier League next season given the chasm between the sides. Neil Warnock has urged Manchester City to buy Virgil van Dijk in order to bridge the gap.

The Reds signed Big Virg from Southampton for £75m back in 2018.
His impact was immediate, he even scored a winner in the Merseyside Derby on his debut.
In the months since he has rapidly established himself as the very best central defender in the world, he will surely go down as one of the best in the history of the game.
Virg was one of the last remaining pieces of the jigsaw that when solved bridged the gap between Jürgen Klopp’s men and Pep Guardiola’s side.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Neil Warnock has encouraged Manchester City to spend £200m on Virgil van Dijk:
“I still think Man City are the best. If they got a Van Dijk, I wouldn’t sign anyone else. I’d spend £200million on Van Dijk.
“If they had a Van Dijk in their team, they’d be 10 points in front. I don’t think there’s that much wrong with Man City other than a centre-half like that.”
What RTK has to say
£200m gets you a meet and greet with Big Virg, it’s an extra £5m if you want a photo.
There’s no doubt that Virgil is the difference between The Reds and Man City but he’s also one of the differences between Liverpool and the rest of the world.
He is far and away the best defender in the world, any team that has him on side are at an advantage. Thankfully, we’ve no reason to sell and he appears to be more than happy at Anfield.
