Liverpool fans have gained a divisive reputation in world football. Some view Kopites as a paragon of commitment, passion and defiance – whilst others perceive us to be entitled and insufferable. We don’t care either way. A recent survey has labeled Liverpool fans as the most arrogant in the Premier League. Forza The Unbearables.
LiveFootballTickets.com conducted a survey, reported by The Express, to shed some light on how fanbases are viewed.
The site found the five most talked about Premier League followings by ranking monthly search statistics.
These five clubs were then included in a survey participated in by 2,136 fans, hailing from a rainbow of different clubs.
The five clubs were Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Unsurprisingly, the loud Kopites came out with just 1% of the vote in the ‘quietest supporters’ category. Chelsea topped the group with 36% of the vote.
Elsewhere, Liverpool fans gained a staggering 42% of the vote in the ‘most arrogant’ section.
What RTK has to say
This sums up Kopites really.
We have proudly taken on the title of ‘The Unbearables’. Kopites are despised by many because they want to be us, the fact that we know that makes others feel that we are arrogant.
However, you cannot hide from the fact that a lot of these supporters merely look at the scenes Kopites create and they wonder ‘why can’t our club be like that’?
We have been derided by the English for our rowdy bus greetings whereas the same fans fetishise foreign clubs that display a similar ferocity. The reason for these double standards is merely jealousy.
They ranked us the loudest and they hate us for it, hence why they think we are arrogant. We aren’t arrogant, just the best.
