In a few months Liverpool will almost certainly have one of their most defining summer transfer windows of recent times. The Reds are tipped to go all out to prepare themselves for an era of dominance, for dynasty building. According to El Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are chasing Ferran Torres of Valencia, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also interested in the youngster.
Torres has been one of the shining lights of Valencia’s season.
The Spaniard turned 20-years-old on the 29th of February but has been a regular starter for the Spanish giants.
He has made 20 starts in La Liga this campaign, with five appearances from the bench. Thus far he has bagged four goals and four assist in this time.
Torres has been seen primarily on the right wing but he can also fill in on the left flank or up front if needed.
El Mundo Deportivo has reported that Liverpool want Ferran Torres but Barcelona and Real Madrid are also set to do battle over the youngster.
The Daily Mail has claimed that the wonderkid has a release clause of £86.9m.
What RTK has to say
Torres has been immensely impressive this season, particularly in the Champions League.
There is no doubting that the Spaniard has a bright future in the game, it would be a massive surprise if he were to be at Valencia next season given the reported interest.
Where he ends up is anybody’s guess. If Valencia do demand the full release clause then we can’t see Liverpool moving for Ferran Torres.
£86.9m is a lot of money for a player slightly older than Jadon Sancho but who is not putting up the same numbers as Sancho.
