Liverpool have made some bargain signings during the FSG era. The Reds have brought in Gini Wijnaldum for a snip and James Milner on a free. One of the club’s best budget signings could be headed for the stage rather than the pitch with Andy Robertson joking he is ‘seriously considering a career in music’.

Liverpool signed Robbo from relegated Hull City in 2017, paying the Tigers £8m for the Scotsman.

Since his arrival on Merseyside he has become a cult figure thanks to his regular raids down the left flank and his endearing work rate.

It seems as though the lad is made of batteries given the amount of running he gets through every week without ever needing a spell out of the side to recover.

The Kop loves the man but does his future lie elsewhere? Andy Robertson joked on Liverpool’s YouTube channel:

“If football doesn’t work out, I’m seriously considering a professional career in music.”

Thankfully for us, football is working out for the lad – we won’t be losing him to the big stage any time soon.

We have always known that Robbo is a big personality, watching him for 90 minutes you can tell he’s a character, watch him on the club’s YouTube and your suspicions are confirmed.

Whether he’s winding up the opposition (like when he made Tom Davies that angry we thought he’d snapped his skateboard) or cracking jokes with James Milner on the club’s social channels – Robbo is the gift that keeps on giving for Kopites.

He will go down in the club’s history for all the right reasons.
