Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker – 7.5

Frankly, we expected more from Ali for West Ham’s opening goal. He won’t be making a habit of it. He did pull off a cracking late save to atone.

Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8

Another game, another two assists. The Scouser in our team produced a peach of a cross for the opener.

Centre back: Joe Gomez – 6.5

JoGo had a few shaky moments but was good in possession, an average game.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk – 6

Big Virg was a danger from set pieces but to concede two is disappointing.

Left back: Andy Robertson – 8

You can’t fault the flying Scotsman, his consistency is remarkable. Another assist.

Defensive midfield: Fabinho – 6.5

The best defensive midfielder in the world won the ball back regularly and used it without fuss.

Centre midfield: Naby Keita – 5

Not everything he tried came off but the fact that he was always trying to go forward is positive. Next game maybe?

Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum – 8

Gini had one of his better games, tucking away a superlative header and always retaining possession.

Right wing: Mo Salah – 7

Mo didn’t have an incredible game but he scored somehow, that’s what great forwards do.

Left wing: Sadio Mane – 7.5

A livewire as ever, Sadio deserved his goal.

Striker: Bobby Firmino – 6.5

A poor performance from Bobby, he missed a glaring chance from a corner and didn’t create as much as usual.
