Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool have established themselves as the best football side in the world. With the summer sure to see some variety added to the squad transfer rumours are rife. According to O Jogo in Portugal (via Sport Witness), Liverpool have been scouting Benfica duo Carlos Vinicius and Ruben Dias.
24-year-old striker Vinicius has had an incredible season in the Portuguese Liga NOS.
The Brazilian has netted 14 goals in 18 appearances, picking up seven assists along the way.
Dias on the other hand has established himself as one of the most exciting young centre backs in the world.
The 22-year-old has been undroppable for the Portuguese giants, he has made 20 league appearances and has registered 13 clean sheets in that time.

According to O Jogo, Liverpool were one of a number of clubs with officials watching Benfica take on Porto. The paper claim that The Reds are keeping tabs on Vinicius and Dias.
What RTK has to say
By the looks of it Liverpool are just one of a dozen or more clubs keeping an eye on Benfica this season.
With Dias being just 22-years-old he would be a sensible addition to the defence, particularly if Dejan Lovren leaves in the summer.
However, there is the consideration of whether or not the young man would be content with spending most of his time on the bench.
Carlos Vinicius’ goal scoring record is nothing to be sniffed at and with The Reds needing to add depth and variety to the squad he could be a suitable option, at 24-years-old he is in the right age bracket for Liverpool’s transfer policy.
The Liga NOS has produced some fantastic players over the years, Cristiano Ronaldo of course being the most noteworthy, we’ll definitely be watching this space.
