Liverpool will travel to face West Ham at the Olympic Stadium in London this evening. The Reds hope to pick up the win and stretch the Premier League lead to a staggering 19 points.

They come up against a beleaguered Hammers side who are fighting a relegation battle under David Moyes. Despite their woes West Ham can cause an upset but will need the help of three particular players in order to do so.

The 23-year-old French centre-back is a quality player in a poor team. Whether West Ham go down or not, he can rest assured someone will want his services at the highest level. Big, strong and powerful he has the ability to keep our front line quiet.

The Reds will need to be sharp in order to get the best of him tonight. Anything less and we could struggle for goals despite West Ham’s poor form.

Despite his inexperience Declan Rice has quickly become pivotal to West Ham. He is their prized asset who plays every minute of every game. In the middle of the park he is struggling to influence matches as of late. Liverpool must pounce on his every mistake to ensure this remains the case.

One slither of confidence and we could potentially lose the midfield battle against Rice and co. The 21-year-old will be keen to show exactly what he’s about against the best team in world football.  It’ll be up to our men in the middle to ensure he doesn’t get a sniff.

Sebastien Haller

Sebastien Haller signed for the London club in a club record £45m deal last summer. Since then he has failed to live up to his potential. However, he has shown some signs of great talent. His six Premier League goals is the more than any other West Ham player.

The Frenchman is definitely our opponents’ most likely source of goals and we must ensure he is marked tightly at all times. If we keep him and the other key West Ham players quiet this should be a comfortable win against a struggling team. If not it could be a long nights work, which could go terribly wrong.
