When Jürgen Klopp arrived at Liverpool the club was in a sorry state. The club had been spending big on mediocre players and throwing high wages at chronically crocked stars. Jürgen has overseen a transformation of the first team squad with the deadwood now thoroughly gotten rid of. One of our old financial follies could be set for a return to the Premier League with talkSPORT reporting claims from Fanatik in Turkey that Daniel Sturridge is wanted by Aston Villa.
Studge signed for Liverpool for an undisclosed fee in January 2013.
The England striker had some of the most prolific periods of his career whilst at Anfield.
Undoubtedly the forward’s most memorable season was the 2013/14 campaign which saw him net 21 goals in 26 starts as he struck up a partnership for the ages with Luis Suarez.
Towards the end of his Anfield career, Sturridge struggled to justify his astronomical wages.

According to Spotrac, the striker was raking in £130k a week yet he made just four Premier League starts last season before leaving on a free in the summer.
talkSPORT have reported that Aston Villa have submitted a £4.3m bid for Daniel Sturridge.
What RTK has to say
Sturridge was a tragic case.
The ex-Chelsea man is one of the most naturally gifted finishers that we’ve had at the club in the last few decades – his 21 goals in 26 starts in 2013/14 is testament to his deadliness.
Unfortunately, the striker was constantly out of action, one look at his injury history will tell you just how unreliable he was.
Fingers crossed he does get the move back to the Premier League, the division is much better off with him in it.
