Goalkeeper: Adrian – 8

The Spaniard pulled off a spectacular save in the first half, he’s a safe pair of hands to backup Alisson.

Right back: Neco Williams – 8

The Welshman just gets better and better, his delivery was tremendous throughout.

Centre back: Joel Matip – 6

The Cameroonian defender looked rusty but was solid nonetheless.

Centre back: Dejan Lovren – 5.5

The Croatian was beaten far too easily for the second Shrewsbury goal.

Left back: Yasser Larouci – 6

Larouci looked comfortable and was unlucky to concede a penalty with the foul looking to have been outside the box.

Defensive midfield: Fabinho – 7.5

The Brazilian got in some vital match practice and put in some of his trademark leggy slide tackles.

Centre midfield: Curtis Jones – 9

The Scouser has a swagger about him, another game and another goal for the wonderkid.

Centre midfield: Pedro Chirivella – 8

The Spaniard pulled off a peach of an assist for Curtis Jones, we need to keep him around.

Right wing: Harvey Elliott – 7.5

16-year-old Elliott never looks out of depth and that is utterly remarkable.

Striker: Takumi Minamino – 6

The January signing needs to learn the Liverpool way – he is clearly still getting up to speed with things.

Left wing: Divock Origi – 6

Sir Divock went missing for the most part, he’s allowed off days in matches like this.
