Today sees the Reds take on Tottenham in a clash that can see Jürgen Klopp’s side break the record for points after 21 games. The unstoppable juggernaut are aiming to win each game a game at a time – nobody has given the Lilywhites a smidgen of a chance today. Here is how Liverpool lineup against Spurs:
Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker
The Brazilian has kept five consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League – the first time the Reds have done so since the Benitez era.
Right back – Trent Alexander-Arnold
The young Scouser has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for December. He deserved it.
Centre beck – Virgil van Dijk
He’s our centre half, he’s our number four, Martin Keown has called him the best the Premier League has ever seen.
Centre back – Joe Gomez
The Englishman is one half of what Keown believes to be the Premier League’s greatest ever defensive partnership.
Left back – Andy Robertson
The Scotsman never lets us down in big games, with him fully rested and recharged for this game we can expect a performance a half from the terrier.
Defensive midfield – Jordan Henderson
The skipper has been playing out of his skin in recent weeks, we haven’t even missed the injured Fabinho – that’s really saying something.
Centre midfield – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
We are finally seeing the very best of Naby Keita but the Guinean is injured. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is named in the Liverpool lineup to face his old enemy, Spurs.
Centre midfield – Gini Wijnaldum
The Dutchman will be hounding the battered and bruised Tottenham side, they won’t be able to cope with his work rate.
Left wing – Sadio Mane
The African player of the year, Sadio enters this game on the top of the world, we can expect him to play as such too.
Firmino role – Roberto Firmino
Bobby performs in big games, particularly away games where he can find space. He will pick apart the makeshift Tottenham defence.
Right wing – Mo Salah
The Egyptian King will be one of the first names in the Liverpool lineup to face Spurs, we’ll be expecting a big performance.
