Come on, look at his history. He underpaid for Fabinho by £22m according to CIES (via The Telegraph). He somehow sold Dominic Solanke for £19m. He is fleecing directors throughout the world – why do they still answer the phone to him?
Back in 2016 we conned Bournemouth out of £15m for Jordon Ibe and stuck a sell on clause in the deal. Eddie Howe was clearly hoping that the winger would realise his enormous potential on the South Coast but things haven’t worked out that way.
Ibe’s gametime has dwindled in the past couple of years, he managed just nine starts last campaign and just two substitute appearances this season – totalling 48 minutes in the Premier League.
With the Englishman’s contract set to expire in the summer, The Cherries are looking to cash in on him in January rather than let him go on a free at the end of the season. The ECHO have reported that Crystal Palace are looking at buying the winger.
