This Saturday sees Liverpool make the trip down to North London to take on Jose Mourinho’s Spurs. The Reds are 28 points ahead of the Lilywhites with a game in hand to boot. The two sides are much further apart than they were when they met in Madrid last June. With the Jürgen Klopp’s Red Juggernaut looking unstoppable, we give our predictions for Tottenham v Liverpool.

Man of the Match – Mo Salah

Mo doesn’t half show up when we play Spurs. The Egyptian King was recently awarded our goal of the decade award for a magnificent solo strike against Tottenham, he also converted the penalty when the Reds beat the North London side at Anfield in October.

With Danny Rose and Ben Davies injured, Salah will be coming up against either the inexperienced Ryan Sessegnon or an out of position centre back – he should have a field day running at either.

One to stop – Son Heung Min

The South Korean forward has finished serving a three match suspension and with Harry Kane injured he will be the hosts’ most lethal attacking threat.

The Asian forward is lightning quick, he is determined and he is a deadly finisher. In truth, he is made for Jürgen Klopp. Thankfully, the Reds boast two of the quickest centre backs in the division in Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.

Score – Spurs 0 – 3 Liverpool

Tottenham v Liverpool should be a pretty straightforward affair for the visitors. The hosts are without some key players, most notably Harry Kane. With Jürgen Klopp’s men keeping five successive clean sheets for the first time since the Benitez era, we can’t see Mourinho’s men scoring but the Reds definitely will.

The Liverpool front line were rested against Everton and will be heading into this game fully recharged, prepared to go in all guns blazing. This could get ugly if the right Liverpool show up.
