The Reds are top of the league, the entire squad is absolutely flying – it would be a massive surprise if a Liverpool player didn’t win the PFA Player of the Year at the end of this season. With five Reds named in the FIFA Team of the Year, it’s hard to call who is the best in the league but it is a call that one Barcelona icon has made. Cesc Fabregas has said that Sadio Mane is the best player in the Premier League.
Fabregas came through Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy before moving to Arsenal in September 2003. After eight years in North London, Fabregas moved back to Barcelona before enjoying spells as Chelsea and Monaco.
The Spaniard is an incredibly decorated footballer, he has won titles in England and Spain as well as the World Cup and Euros with his national side.
During a Q&A on Twitter, the midfielder was asked who he believes to be the best player in the league, the Monaco man replied saying “Mané for me”.

What RTK has to say
This is an enormous endorsement for the Senegalese forward – Cesc Fabregas joining the Sadio Mané bandwagon could be an indication that the winger is on track for individual glory at the end of the season.
It is difficult to look past Mané at the minute, he has bagged 11 goals and six assists in 18 starts in the Premier League this campaign, often coming up with the goods to get us over the line – we will never forget his last gasp header against Aston Villa.
Fingers crossed Sadio’s peers recognise his contributions come the end of the season, the forward has been absolutely sensational and deserves the individual prize.
