"Both fans want it" Twitter begs for Liverpool v Real Madrid in draw

This morning is a turning point in Liverpool’s season. The Reds will find out their fate in the Champions League as the draw is made for the round of 16. There is one clear preference for the fans as Kopites have taken to Twitter to beg for Liverpool to get Real Madrid in the Champions League draw.

Liverpool can face Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta, Lyon or Atletico Madrid in the first knockout round. We gave our verdict on the draw last week.

With the final loss in Kiev in 2018 still fresh in the memories of Scousers, many are wanting to inflict revenge on the Galacticos.

There is also the element of cementing the powershift, until Jürgen Klopp lifted the Champions League trophy in June, Real Madrid had won four of the previous five tournaments. Twitter has been begging for the tie.

This Kopite is more wary of the other team in the Spanish capital.

One fan believes that a special game under the Anfield lights is what the footballing world deserves.

This Red is praying for the fixture.

And this supporter didn’t take too kindly to the bravado of Zinedine Zidane in the week. We just won’t let Kiev go.

This Madridista believes that neutral supporters will also be hoping for the two heavyweights to be drawn together.

Whereas one Barcelona fan is hoping that the Reds turn their wrath on a different Spanish side this time around.

But of course, we fear nobody. This Kopite wants us to make a statement in the next round.
