Liverpool could be in the race for Napoli duo Lorenzo Insigne and Piotr Zielinski according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian side are in turmoil after an alleged huge bust-up between playing staff and club President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Napoli are now set to offload the majority of their big stars including Insigne and Zielinski.

The Reds may profit in more than one way when we host Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the Champions League later this month.

Lorezenzo Insigne is the club’s talisman. Born and raised in the Naples he would certainly be a massive loss for the club.

The 28-year-old is a hero among fans and the fact he may leave is testament to just how bad things are at Napoli.

Any deal would likely command a massive fee that Liverpool are unlikely to pay.

The Liverpool front three is immovable right now and any player coming in will be playing second fiddle in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

With Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan also linked, the player is certainly not short of options.

Piotr Zielinski has been a long-term target of Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Polish midfielder would be a welcome addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

A fresh bid from the Reds may well convince the player to leave Naples. He has allegedly received serious backlash from the Napoli training camp dispute.

Zielinski reportedly had his car vandalised by Napoli ultra’s and his girlfriend was allegedly forced to flee their home while he is away on international duty.

Now may be the time to finally bring the Poland international to Anfield.
