Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was the hero as the Reds beat Arsenal last night.
The 10-goal Carabao Cup tie ended 5-5 after 90 minutes and forced a penalty shootout at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side emerged victorious from a shootout for the second time this season. And the 20-year-old Irish ‘keeper was vital as he dived to his right to impressively save the effort of Arsenal midfielder Dani Cabellos.
Despite conceding five goals, the third choice Reds ‘keeper leaves the game with lots of credit. None of the Arsenal goals were the fault of the Liverpool shot-stopper, who was let down by the men in front of him.
The Irish youngster was able to make up for his teammates during the shootout and emerge a hero.
Liverpool scored all five of their penalties but needed Kelleher to deliver a big save to win the game and he did just that.
Twitter was quick to react to Kelleher’s match-winning antics at Anfield. The hero himself reacted in a post-match interview with Sky Sports:
"It was a bit of a crazy one…"

Liverpool fan Michael made a bold prediction after a second shootout win.
So Adrian has had his big penalty shootout moment this season. Kelleher now has too. Means one thing now, we’re winning the Champions League on pens with Alisson saving the decider

Redmen TV Academy gave a perfect review of the Kelleher’s overall performance.
Kelleher – Was unlucky on a couple of the goals and made some good saves. Very confident with the ball at his feet. Hero in the shootout with an impressive save from a Ceballos spot-kick.

As always not everyone was happy with the result.
Anyone that thinks that was an amazing comeback needs an eye test. It was a comedy of defensive errors just got lucky that Arsenal made as many as us. Woeful & hate to overshadow Kelleher & Jones' penalty "heroics" but that doesn't even begin to paper over the cracks 😐#LIVARS
