Liverpool's midfield would be improved by Paul Pogba

Liverpool’s trip to Manchester United has brought up talk about a combined XI. Danny Mills has suggested not a single United player would make Jurgen Klopp’s side.

If you base it solely on recent form, the Ex-City player is definitely right. However, Paul Pogba at his best sails into this Liverpool side and looks immense in it.

Since becoming the most expensive player in 2016, Pogba has not lived up to his potential.

At Juventus, the French midfielder was world-class. He really did have everything, and this particular Liverpool fan was envious when United signed him.

But since then, luckily for us, it just hasn’t worked out. Pogba has shown glimpses of quality but nowhere near enough.

The accusations leveled at Pogba about a perceived attitude problem are fair. He often looks like he can’t be bothered at Old Trafford.

The question is: Is Pogba lazy or just demotivated in a failing Manchester United side?

If he is demotivated, there would be no one better than Klopp to change that.

The German manager would have the World Cup winner running through walls within a month.

Pogba at the peak of his powers not only gets into this Liverpool side but would probably be the best midfielder at their disposal.

At his best Pogba brings goals, assists and tremendous running to whatever team he is part of.

Luckily for us, this weekend neither he nor Manchester United are anywhere near their best. So a historically tough trip may be a little bit easier for Liverpool this Sunday.
