Liverpool prospect Sepp Van Den Berg is enjoying his time away from Merseyside on international duty.
The 17-year-old defender played a key role as Holland U19s beat Moldova 5-0 in the opening game of Euro 2020 qualifiers. Van Den Berg got himself on the score sheet scoring the second goal of the game.
The Liverpool defender also helped his side towards a clean sheet before being substituted late on.
Since joining Liverpool from PEC Zwolle in the summer, Van Den Berg has been playing predominantly with the U23 side.
He is still adapting; that is clear for all to see. And understandably so with a new club, country and brand of football to get used to at such a young age.
Despite this, he still managed to make his first-team debut during the EFL Cup win against MK Dons; albeit only a few minutes off the bench.
The young centre-back will be determined to earn more game time for Jurgen Klopp throughout the season.
In order to get that he will need to replicate his form with Holland in Neil Critchley’s Liverpool U23 side.
