Sadio Mane hit an impressive Liverpool milestone with his goal against Leicester City on Saturday.
Liverpool’s most potent goal-scorer was at it again this weekend, netting his fifth Premier League goal in eight games.
The Senegalese international slotted home past Kasper Schmeichel to give Liverpool an early lead at Anfield.
With that came the player’s 50th Premier League goal in his 100th appearance for the club.
After netting his landmark goal, Mane joins an exclusive Liverpool group and puts his name among some of the club’s greatest players.
Mane’s name now sits besides the likes of Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez.
This achievement comes on the back of Mane’s most successful year in football. The 27-year-old has added silverware to his collection, picking up Champions League and UEFA Super Cup winners medals in 2019.
He was even endorsed for football’s top individual awards by football legend Samuel Eto’o.
Now on 50 goals, the Liverpool forward is showing no signs of stopping and fans will be hoping he doesn’t.
In the best form of his career, Mane will be heading towards 100 Premier League goals for the club in no time.
