This weekend’s opponent Leicester City probably have the best squad outside the Premier League’s top six.
The likes of Kasper Schmichael, Ricardo Pereira, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Jamie Vardy make up a team capable of securing a European place this season. However, one man stands out from the rest at the Foxes.
Wilfred Ndidi is becoming one of the Premier League’s best midfielders and Liverpool should sign him.
The Nigerian joined Leicester from Genk for £17m just two years ago. The deal proved to be a bargain as Ndidi has probably tripled his worth since arriving in England
At just 22 Ndidi is nowhere near his peak but is already capable of playing at such a high level for Brendan Rodgers’ side. The vast rate he is improving is clear for all to see; he is now even adding goals to his game this year.
With two goals in six games he has already equalled his tally from last season and it will be interesting to see exactly how many he has come the end of the campaign.
Ndidi would fit perfectly into Jurgen Klopp’s midfield. He is the player who keeps everything ticking at Leicester, has a real engine and is always fighting to win the ball back for his teammates.
