The Reds are gearing up to face MK Dons in the 3rd round of the League Cup tonight. The Reds have named a youthful team for the fixture. Where Curtis Jones and Oxlade-Chamberlain will lineup is anybody’s guess.

Goalkeeper – Caoimhin Kelleher
The Irish shot stopper is just 20 years old and has been coming on leaps and bounds thanks to Alisson’s influence.
Right back – Ki-Jana Hoever
Hoever was thrust into the Liverpool team at an early age after making his debut in the FA Cup aged just 16. He will be looking to stake a claim to a regular cup place.
Centre back – Joe Gomez
The Englishman has struggled to get back into the side due to the immense form of Joel Matip.
Centre back – Dejan Lovren
World Cup finalist Lovren can’t get a look in these days but he’s a fantastic option for cup games.
Left back – James Milner
The versatile workhorse will give a young defence a voice of experience.
Centre midfield – Naby Keita
Guinean international Keita has struggled for fitness lately, hopefully this will be the first of many starts to come.
Centre midfield – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox needs minutes if he is to recover his pre injury form.
Centre midfield – Adam Lallana
If he stays fit, Lallana will be a fantastic bench option throughout the season.
Left wing – Curtis Jones
Local lad Curtis Jones is one of many ‘next Gerrard’s we’ve seen over the years, hopefully he will deliver on his U23s promise.
Right wing – Harvey Elliott
The boy wonder is yet to make a first team appearance, hopefully he will light up the occasion.
Striker – Rhian Brewster
FINALLY. Brewster will make his first team debut and is nailed on to bag a goal.
