Adam Lewis may not start tonight but his future is bright at Liverpool

Adam Lewis will be a part of tonight’s match day squad but is unlikely to start at MK Dons.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to hand several first-team debuts from the start, but Lewis is not expected to be one of them. The 19-year-old left-back could still make his debut from the Liverpool bench.

Even if he doesn’t, his future is still very bright at the club.

Liverpool clearly have faith in the young full-back as the club secured his long-term future earlier this year.

Lewis has only just returned form injury this past weekend. Starting from the off while he is still recovering would not be an ideal situation for a senior debut.

Lewis is highly touted among Liverpool fans, who fancied the young prospect to fill the vacancy left when Alberto Moreno departed in the summer.

Born and raised in the city, Lewis is a player that will receive every bit of backing from the Anfield crowd. They will kick and head every ball with him and cheer every successful tackle he makes.

It is just a matter of time before Lewis makes an impact in the Liverpool first-team.

Perhaps it will be tonight. If not, it will be soon.
