Liverpool face MK Dons in the League Cup this Wednesday night. The Reds head into the game in the middle of a manic fixture pile up. Rotation is inevitable, we take a look at a possible Liverpool team to face MK Dons.

Goalkeeper – Adrian
The Spaniard has been a revelation since filling in for Alisson Becker. With Adrian likely to be relegated to the bench upon the Brazilian’s return, we can expect him to be given all the League Cup games.
Right back – Joe Gomez
The England international is a likely candidate to give Trent Alexander-Arnold a rest.
Centre back – Sepp van den Berg
The 17 year old Dutch defender will be looking to do his best Virgil Van Dijk impression if given the nod on Wednesday.
Centre back – Dejan Lovren
The Croatian hasn’t had a look in of late, if the Reds opt for a youthful centre back they’ll need Lovren’s experience alongside.
Left back – Yasser Larouci
The academy player was impressive in Andy Robertson’s position over pre-season, he’ll be hoping to be reinstalled into the side for the cup.
Centre midfield – James Milner (c)
Milly will provide experience to the young players in midfield.
Centre midfield – Curtis Jones
One of the many youngsters burdened by the “next Gerrard” tag, the Scouser will be hoping to impress enough to warrant some sub appearances in the league.
Centre midfield – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Still recovering back to full match fitness, the England international can shine in this game and get some valuable minutes under his belt in the process.
Left wing – Xherdan Shaqiri
The Swiss midfielder has struggled to get minutes under Jürgen Klopp recently but can bank on playing on Wednesday.
Right wing – Harvey Elliott
Prodigy winger Elliott will be hoping to excite Reds fans that have been eagerly anticipating his debut.
Striker – Rhian Brewster
FINALLY. He has to start. Divock Origi is injured, Brewster finally isn’t. Make us dream, Rhian.
