Liverpool are a ticking time bomb – in the best way possible. Despite missing out on trophies until June, Liverpool have been silently arming themselves for an explosive and glorious future. In Madrid in June, Jürgen Klopp’s men lit the fuse on a dynastic bomb.

Under Klopp, Liverpool have a net transfer spend of £67.25m according to Anfield Online. In recent seasons Liverpool have posted world record profits for a football club.

Liverpool are making more profit than Manchester City. In fact 2017/18 figures – reported by the Guardian – have the Reds making £115m more than City in pre-tax profit. City’s net spend under Guardiola is €627m under Guardiola according to Mint. The Manchester club are currently under investigation for FFP breaches.

The financial situations of Liverpool and City, the organic vs inorganic, amount to a time bomb. While Manchester City are reportedly under investigation, Liverpool are building a financial arsenal.

With Liverpool poised to make even more money if their reported Nike deal goes through and City potentially devastated by punishments, the Reds are on the brink of dynasty. Liverpool’s burgeoning finances have put them in place to wreak havoc in the transfer market. If City are too crippled to keep up, then who is going to stop the Reds winning everything?
