Curtis Jones is a midfielder who has recently signed a long-term contract at Liverpool.
The 18 year-old is making quite a name for himself at the club, as his form shows the midfielder going from strength to strength. In the U18 2017/18 season, Jones had a strong impact on the field. Within 15 appearances, he scored nine goals and provided four assists for the squad. He also made eight appearances in the UEFA Youth League, where he added another assist and five strikes to his name.
The midfielder was then promoted to the U23 squad in 2018, where he continues to make regular appearances. He got his taste of first-team football when he made his debut against Wolves in the FA Cup third round.
Recently, he has been called up to play for the England U19 squad in two friendlies.
Chances of a Premier League debut?
Not at the minute.
Maybe Klopp will give him more game time around December/January, depending on how far Liverpool get in the Champions League. However, Jones would be in competition with the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keïta and Milner for regular senior football.
I think that he will end up going out on loan like Harry Wilson, so that Klopp will see how he adjusts to the game. It will give him more time to see where he could fit in with the team.
Nevertheless, the future is bright for this Red.
