Liverpool fans are astonished by how ripped James Milner is given the midfielder is 33 but the Yorkshireman should be key for the Reds again this season.
The former Manchester City winger joined Liverpool on a free transfer in 2015 and while it wasn’t a popular move at the time, Milner has proven he deserves the vice-captaincy and is a true ‘big-game player’.
Ahead of a season where Liverpool are destined to challenge for silverware once more, Jurgen Klopp will certainly call on Milner’s experience to aid his side in high-pressure situations.
Liverpool are training in the United States of America and will face Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Sporting Lisbon and Napoli before they return to Melwood ahead of a short training camp in Evian, France.
With the club posting photos of the players training to their official social media accounts every day, the latest batch posted on Wednesday had fans dumbfounded.
Everyone knows Milner is the pinnacle of fitness and health but pictures of him revealed yesterday show just how ripped he is.

James Milner is 33 years old and he is more fit and has a better physique than most modern footballers. Genuinely so, so, so underrated. Our Milner! pic.twitter.com/LqI8JWT1Gj

With Naby Keita set to miss pre-season with an injury sustained at AFCON with Guinea, there is a greater chance that James Milner will be in line to start the first Premier League game of the season and if Klopp is looking to start his fittest players against Norwich City, he can’t look beyond Milner.
The 33-year-old was key to Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the 2018/19 season and he should be similarly important this year as the Anfield outfit aims to start the campaign with wins over Man City, Norwich and Chelsea in the FA Community Shield, the Premier League and UEFA Super Cup.
Three wins from those three games should set the Reds up for a fine start to the season and should further boost their confidence.
