Liverpool fans want to see Donny van de Beek join the club this summer after watching him run the show for the Netherlands against England on Thursday evening.
The Ajax star was sublime in the Champions League and Eredivisie over the last 12 months and has taken his form along with him on international duty as he and Frenkie de Jong and Georginio Wijnaldum made Holland tick.
The Dutch ran out 3-1 winners against Gareth Southgate’s men and booked their place in the UEFA Nations League final where they will play Portugal.
Earlier this week, Voetbal Primeur reported that Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Donny van de Beek, with Le Parisien claiming that Ajax value the Dutch midfielder at £49million.
Van de Beek is the quintessential no.8 and is very much like Frank Lampard in the way that he times his late runs into the box to perfection which saw him score 16 times for Ajax this season.
Much like Klopp reportedly is, Liverpool fans are keen to see the 22-year-old join the club this summer.

Van de Beek didn’t just operate as a midfielder goalscorer, he also provided Ajax and Netherlands with a creative outlet, assisting 12 goals this season.
Jordan Henderson might have captured the hearts of Liverpool fans when he lifted the European Cup last week but if Klopp signed van de Beek, he’d be in for serious competition to start each game as a no.8
