Domenico Berardi says he would choose Liverpool over any club in the world in quotes reported by the Daily Mail.
The Italian has scored nine goals and assisted a further four for Sassuolo this season.
“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it,” he said. “And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: “I’ll take it”.
“Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool. Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it.
“The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority.”
While it’s always pleasing to hear that Liverpool is an attractive destination for a forward, Berardi certainly isn’t at the level required to make the impact Klopp will be looking for from a new attacker.
For comparison, Shaqiri has been involved in 17 goals this season despite not playing anywhere near as many minutes as Berardi.
The 24-year-old has played over a 1000 minutes more but has been involved in four goals fewer in a league that isn’t as challenging as the Premier League or Champions League.
If Klopp is planning on signing a new attacker this summer, he needs to be looking at the likes of Memphis Depay or someone who can guarantee goals or match-winning moments.
As it is, there is no guarantee that Klopp will definitely sign a new forward as Divock Origi has shown his worth this season and Rhian Brewster is set to break into the first team after his injury problems.
If the German does use the transfer window to add another winger or striker, fans are desperate to see more quality brought in.
