Liverpool fans have shown excitement at the idea of signing Wolves central midfielder Ruben Neves this summer after comments from Pep Lijnders.
The Portuguese midfielder has enjoyed a great debut season in the Premier League, scoring three goals and providing two assists but more importantly helping Wolverhampton Wanderers to a finish inside the top 10.
Depending on how the season ends, Wolves could end in seventh place and, given their FA Cup run and the fact that they were only promoted this season, it would be a terrific year for all involved at Molineux.
The concern for Nuno Espirito Santo will be that he might be forced into selling a few of his best players, which could affect future progress.
With Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders confirming this week that Neves is a player the Reds would be interested in signing, fans on social media have shown excitement at the thought of seeing him at Anfield.
Of course, talk of a move to Liverpool is speculation but, given how good he has been for Wolves, it would come as no surprise to fans and the wider media if Jurgen Klopp did want to sign him.
Here is what supporters on Twitter had to say.

Liverpool would need to pay over the odds to sign Neves and, while the former Porto midfielder is undeniably a talented player, with Fabinho the Reds’ undisputed best no.6 the Wolves man would not be an automatic starter.
The Times reported late last year that £110million is the required fee to land Neves and, if that’s true, Liverpool must steer well clear of the Portuguese talent.
Klopp does need to invest in his midfield this summer but defensive midfield is not an area of the squad that needs reinforcement.
