There have been plenty of reports surrounding the future of Sadio Mane, giving fans plenty to react to.
Zinedine Zidane’s reappointment at Real Madrid sparked the rumours. The Frenchman will likely want change in the summer, thus a series of reports linking several players have emerged.
Mane, however, is principal among them. EL Chriniguito reported Real’s interest immediately after Zidane was back in the dugout.
Liverpool fans have had some time to take in the Mane reports and the response is mixed.
Twitter reacts to Mane reports
There are those who simply don’t believe Mane would be sold:
No chance. I wouldn’t even sell him if they offered us there entire team

I refuse to believe Mane is going to Real Madrid

Lots of teams would want Mane, why wouldn't they? No chance he gets sold.

Those who are thinking about potential replacements:
If we do lose Mane to Real in the summer. Reinvest that money into Havertz or Brandt. Maybe even both. Good options. #LFC

Those who feel Real Madrid can’t afford the 26-year-old:
A reported £85M for Sadio Mane… from Real Madrid🤣 that’ll buy the socks he wears and maybe the laces in his boots.
— KirkbyRedScouser (@AndrewJ30565489) March 20, 2019
And those who believe something a little more nefarious is going on:
Not really felt the need to post any articles re: the Mane to Real rumours as it's utter nonsense anyway. All just an attempt to unsettle our players while they're away on international duty.
Shame some of the much bigger accounts didn't follow suit.

And there really may be something in that – although it’s not the only reason the reports have been spreading.
For one thing, Real Madrid are the big story right now and Mane is the in-form player. That’s a natural story.
On top of that, we’re heading into an international break. That means a lack of news, and this story is both natural and one that may have a lot of truth behind it.
But the fact is, Real will likely wait before moving for any attacker. More than that, Liverpool don’t have any reason to sell.
This is a story that’s still in its infancy and one that we’ll have to be patient with. Perhaps things will change come the summer? There is a lot of football yet to be played, after all.
