Mo Salah will face Watford on Wednesday knowing that he’s just one goal away from a Premier League record.
Salah has been a revelation since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2017. That hardly needs to be said but his impact is still incredible to consider.
The Egyptian enjoyed a record-breaking first season. Salah scored 32 Premier League goals – a record on its own – and did so by scoring in 24 different games, another record.

He became the first player to outscore three entire teams in a season and equaled the Premier League record for the most teams scored against (17).
And Salah will go for another Premier League record when he faces Watford on Wednesday.
One goal and Salah will have 50 for Liverpool in 64 games, therefore reaching his half century for one club in record time. Alan Shearer currently holds that honour with 66 games.
It would also be the quickest any Liverpool player has reached the milestone, of course. Fernando Torres in the man to beat, having scored 50 in 72 Premier League games for the Reds.

And what does Salah think of potentially breaking another record? Well, rather professionally, he’s putting the team first.
Salah on setting another record v Watford
“It would be nice to score number 50, number 51 and 52!” he said, according to the Echo. “I always push myself to score more goals and to perform better.
“Of course records are nice but for me the Premier League is now the most important thing.
“It’s a very big week. There are three games in eight days and if we can do well in them and still be top of the table that’s big for us.

“After that there will only be nine games left and we will have time to recover for them and time to think about that.”
All eyes will be on Salah to see if he breaks the record against Watford but as he admits, it’s more about the points.
Still, things like this create memorable moments that fans will remember (and boast about). We’ve already had many from Salah – and there’s surely more to come.
