Liverpool fans that are completely against the idea of re-signing Philippe Coutinho will be delighted to hear that Ernesto Valverde has no intention of selling him.

The Brazilian left the club last year in acrimonious fashion and for some supporters, there is no way back.

With Philippe Coutinho’s struggles at Barcelona this season there have been rumours doing the rounds that Liverpool could offer him a way out of his ‘misery’ and re-sign the little magician.

But even if Klopp wanted to do so, Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has no intention of selling him this summer which delightfully also means he won’t be going to Chelsea or Manchester United.

Guillem Balague has been speaking about Coutinho’s situation at Barcelona and reiterates Mundo Deportivo’s claim.

He said on his the Guillem Balague Transfer Show: “We expected much more, the fans did, Barcelona did.

“Right now he seems like a very shy player who is not making a big enough impact into games. Even though he’s given the opportunity to grow and I’m sure at some point he will certainly improve.

“But linked to that and the fact that he’s not starting the big games and not starting every game, there are stories that come out in the English press, not the Spanish press, saying Manchester United one day and Chelsea the next.“Barcelona have got no intention to get rid of Coutinho.“We will see if this lack of impact continues down the line but right now Coutinho’s important to Barcelona, very important.“Because they feel that he adds quality even though they realise that he’s not the midfielder that they thought they were getting.”
