Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sign 16-year-old French defender Billy Koumetio from US Orleans Loiret.
At senior level, Jurgen Klopp is being forced to cope with something of an injury crisis and depending on the fitness of key players, young Rafa Camacho could make his first start in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has been consistent in insisting that Liverpool will not be making any signings unless circumstances drastically change and although for some, the injuries to the back-line recently would demand an emergency signing, the German is not budging.
That said, however, 16-year-old Billy Koumetio from Ligue 2 outfit US Orleans Loiret is set to make the switch to Liverpool.
The defender arrived in England earlier this week to complete the deal after undergoing a trial with the Reds in November and impressing Academy staff.
The young Frenchman is a left-sided defender and will be hoping to emulate Ki-Jana Hoever who made his Liverpool first-team debut a year after joining the club from Ajax Amsterdam.
