Kevin De Bruyne and James Milner are both in contention to take part in the huge Premier League clash taking place at the Etihad this evening.
Liverpool are looking to boost their chances of lifting the league title for the first time in 29 years by extending their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with a win over the current champions.
Klopp has received a boost himself with Milner back in training ahead of the City game.
He told reporters: “He was back in training with us yesterday for the first time, so we will see.”
The injury news that everyone is most curious about is that of Kevin De Bruyne, who has missed a lot of football this season with a number of injuries and is still a doubt to face Liverpool.
Pep updated his press conference on the Belgian’s fitness, saying: “He trained today but tomorrow [Wednesday] we need another check in the morning but he is much better.
“The reality is clear – we are seven points down so it will be the second game of the second leg [of league matches], so there a lot of points to play for.
“I have the feeling it is a big opportunity for us to reduce the gap. My focus is the same. Everybody asking what will happen if you lose, but we are going to try. It is our chance to fight or the Premier League.”
