A Liverpool fan spotted a Mercedes Vito arriving at Melwood on Tuesday night and jokingly claimed that Nabil Fekir has arrived at the club training ground.
The January transfer window is here and you know what that means; Liverpool fans are once again stalking Mercedes Vitos and have their flight tracking apps ready to go in case a transfer story develops to the point a medical at Melwood is on the cards.
While Jurgen Klopp said during December that he doesn’t think he will be making any major moves in the winter transfer window, both the media and supporters are ready to believe that this is just smoke and mirrors from the German.
A video was shared onto Twitter by a Liverpool fan last night of a Mercedes Vito arriving at Melwood and some fans have jumped at the chance to believe Nabil Fekir is set to undergo a medical for the club.
Liverpool pulled out of a £53million deal to sign Fekir in the summer over concerns of the likelihood of him suffering a reoccurrence of a serious knee injury he sustained in 2016.
Yet, there is the chance that if there is any medical to be expected at Melwood today or in the next week it would be for Lloyd Kelly, a young defender that is said to be a target for Liverpool.
The Reds are interested in signing him, with Klopp wanting to develop Kelly in the same way he has Joe Gomez while also providing more depth for his backline in Liverpool’s title bid.
