Liverpool target and Real Madrid midfielder Isco says he has no plans to leave the European champions in January and is very happy with life with Los Blancos.
Isco has struggled for game time this season, having to make himself content with zero La Liga starts and limited appearances in the Copa Del Rey and Champions League under new boss Santiago Solari.
The Reds upped their interest in Nabil Fekir in the summer before pulling out of a £53m deal to sign him right before the World Cup in Russia over concerns that he might suffer a serious knee injury again in the future.
The Fekir saga meant interest in other playmakers was supposedly reignited, with Isco the fantasy option for Liverpool.
With transfer speculation at its highest ahead of the Winter window, Isco has responded to rumours that he might move in January, saying that he is happy at Real Madrid.
“I am not remotely thinking about leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window, as I am very happy here,” Isco told Deportes Cuatro – English translation via the Evening Standard.
“My objective is to continue winning many more titles with Real Madrid.”
Who would you like to see Jürgen Klopp sign in January to help Liverpool remain consistent in their Premier League title bid for the second half of the season?
