Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Ousmane Dembele in January as Barcelona look to be rid of the forward, with his indiscipline frustrating senior figures at the club.
While it might appear as though Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah isn’t clicking as it was at the end of last season, the Reds aren’t struggling for goals.
Neither is Salah struggling for form as critics have branded him a one season wonder in recent weeks. The Egyptian has the same number of goals (8) this season as Eden Hazard while there have been suggestions the Belgian is the best forward in Europe.
Liverpool have been linked with a sensational move for underfire Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele and while a report from the Mirror says the Reds can sign him if they want, Klopp is not ready to sanction a £100m deal to sign the Frenchman.
The report claims that Barcelona is the party ‘driving’ the transfer as they grow tired of his antics. Apparently, Dembele recently called into training sick and when a club doctor arrived at his house, he was in good health with several friends sleeping around the house midway through the day.

As much as Barcelona want to be rid of Dembele, it makes very little sense for Liverpool to be the ones to relieve them of his childish burden. At circa £100m, he would struggle to serve as a value for money deal and might ruin the team harmony that currently exists at Melwood.
For Liverpool, a creative playmaker is more important than a tricky winger – regardless of how talented. Klopp has said that he is unlikely to do business in January unless something goes very wrong with injury or suspension.
