Liverpool receive massive injury boost ahead of Huddersfield test

Reliable Goal UK journalist Neil Jones has said that none of Virgil van Dijk, James Milner and Mohamed Salah are ruled out of facing Huddersfield on Saturday.

With Premier League action back at the weekend, fans can get excited once more about watching club football again but Liverpool supporters will be worried about the fitness of three key starters.

James Milner suffered a hamstring injury before the international break and was forced to miss 60 minutes of the Manchester City clash at Anfield and although he was only expected back at the start of November, the midfielder could be fit to face Huddersfield.

Meanwhile, there is yet to be official word on a timeline for injuries suffered by Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk last week but Neil Jones says they are yet to be ruled out of the weekend’s clash with the Terriers.

Neil Jones wrote on Twitter: “#LFC will monitor fitness of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and James Milner at Melwood this week. None, at this stage, ruled out of Huddersfield game on Saturday but will continue to be assessed.”

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are joint top of the Premier League with 20 points and with the Reds set to enjoy a relatively easy run of fixtures after the international break, there is belief that a good run of games could see Jurgen Klopp’s side go back to the top of the table.

Huddersfield host the Reds on Saturday and following that Cardiff, Arsenal and Fulham will test Liverpool’s title credentials but the Merseysiders will have faith that they can emerge from that run of games with 12 points.
