Liverpool target Domagoj Vida has admitted to dreaming of playing in the Premier League but is unsure if there will be any more offers for him this summer.

Since the end of the FIFA World Cup in Russia, there have been a lot of suggestions that Liverpool could sign Croatian hero Domagoj Vida for around £20million.

With Joel Matip perennially injured, Ragnar Klavan really not up to scratch and Joe Gomez inexperienced, the Reds are in need of a new centre-back regardless of whether or not Dejan Lovren has improved massively over the last 10 months.

Vida would be a good backup even if he is not the most refined defender in world football but it seems like he could wind up staying at Besiktas this summer.

“I am always dreaming to play in the Premier League,” Vida said. I do not know if the proposals will come again in this period. I would like [Besiktas] to make it easy for me.”

With less than 48 hours remaining in England’s transfer window, it seems unlikely that Liverpool will conduct any more transfers aside from overseeing the departures of one or two unwanted players.

Klopp has been non-committal when talking to the press about what business is still to be done for the Reds but it does seem that the German is finished this summer and is happy with the squad he has assembled.
