Simon Mignolet could depart from Liverpool this summer after a five-year spell with the Reds and his agent has confirmed that he has received offers for his client and not just from Turkey.
Whichever way you look at it, Liverpool have completed some extraordinary business this summer. Signing the likes of Naby Keïta, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson, Jürgen Klopp has reinforced his side in key areas.
Sporting director Michael Edwards could even secure over £60million for Divock Origi, Danny Ings and Simon Mignolet and the latter seems the most likely to exit the club in the next week or so.
The player’s agent Nico Vaesen has confirmed that he has been contacted by interested clubs this summer.
“We are in talks with several clubs,” Vaesen said. “The offers are starting to become more clear.
“Turkey is not the only country we have received offers from and it is worth remembering he has a long-term contract.
“We will see what happens next.”
Turkish Football report that Mignolet’s move to Besiktas could be completed in the next few days but only on loan. The £10million that Liverpool want for the goalkeeper will not come from the Super Lig giants.
If the Reds insist on a move elsewhere in order to get the price they want, Mignolet’s agent may need to consider one of the other offers he claims he has received.
Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that the 30-year-old will not be at Liverpool for the 2018/19 season even if only secures a move after the new Premier League campaign starts.
