Liverpool’s interest in Fekir could amount to little this summer and ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop has tipped the Reds as the best club for Christian Pulisic to join.
Despite having had a deal agreed, a medical completed and an announcement video ready to go live, Liverpool never unveiled Nabil Fekir.
It seems quite bizarre that the Frenchman never wound up getting his move to Anfield but given the dangers of signing a player for big money without guarantees over his long-term fitness, it’s wise that a move hasn’t been rushed through just because.
Klopp said after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers that he thinks his side is ready to go into the new season without any further additions and it looks as though Fekir will not be joining the club this summer.
Liverpool have been labeled as the best fit for Pulisic by Shaka Hislop, who works as a pundit for ESPN.

He said: “He fits in anywhere. I think talents like his fit in everywhere. I think the easiest fit would be Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
“Given Klopp’s own history with Dortmund, his style, which Dortmund still mirrors in many regards and it becomes an easy fit.
“But even that I don’t think sways my decision, or should sway his decision, one way or the other.
“When you’ve got a player as talented as Christian Pulisic is, when you’ve got a player who has shown the quality, the leadership, that can get around the park, it fits.
“You can slot him into any big team and as much as the focus and the rumours continue to be about Premier League clubs, I think you can put him in almost any club and he finds a spot.
“If it were me, my club, and I’m building a team, and I can get Pulisic at a decent price, I take him.”
