Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic has acknowledged rumours that he has sparked interest from Liverpool and discusses how he can improve.

With the transfer window officially open in England, stories about summer transfers are gathering pace as managers look to correct errors within their teams or bolster what is already strong.

In Liverpool’s case, Jürgen Klopp is looking to add numbers to an attack which has terrorised England and Europe this season. Nabil Fekir is a player that is reportedly on the German’s radar.

Christian Pulisic is another and after being quizzed by ESPN on rumours of a move to Liverpool, the American was non-committal.

Asked if he was aware of the rumours, he told ESPN: “Of course, I am still finishing my season strong with Dortmund. I’ve been happy here all season. I’ve enjoyed the game. Which is most important. I am looking forward to having a good break this summer.”

Pulisic is looking to improve on his output, having scored five goals and assisted seven more this season.

He said: “There have been a lot of ups and downs this season but it gave me a lot of time to look back and learn.

“As an attacking player I am trying to become more clinical, whether its’ the final pass or shot. I still have a long way to go, but it’s a step in the right direction.”

While Pulisic isn’t yet the finished article, the 19-year-old would be the perfect player for Klopp to take on as a project.

Even though he has a long way to go before becoming the player everyone wants to see, he has the speed, skill and ambition to make an immediate impact at Liverpool.

And there is no better manager to help him harness his talent than Klopp, with the German manager’s penchant for developing attackers.
