Alex Rogers briefs us all on the full details of the 2018 summer transfer window.

With the end of this crazy season approaching, it’s almost time for that time of year again. You already know what I mean. Everyone’s favourite (or least favourite) hobby of trying to determine if a certain transfer rumour holds any weight or not is fast approaching. That’s right! It’s almost time for the dreaded transfer window to open!

Also, Premier League teams voted before the beginning of the season that the transfer window would close on the 9th of August rather than the 31st to allow all Premier League teams to have all their new arrivals in before the beginning of the season, rather than having players arriving after the season has begun.

As a result of this change, it means the window will open earlier. In fact, the window will open on the 17th of May in only just over a week’s time.

I hope that’s music to your ears because it means that we can see just who is coming in that we’ve been linked with, and there have definitely been a few people that have been speculated to join us. Ruben Neves, Jorginho, Alisson Becker and a certain Lyonnais bloke I’ve been hearing about a lot recently to name a few.

Depending on how our next two games go, if we secure top four and maybe, hopefully, when we beat Real Madrid in the Champions League to make it six times, this transfer window could be one of our biggest yet!

Let’s see what the 17th brings us, shall we?
