Andrew Robertson will make his Liverpool debut when the Reds kick off against Crystal Palace at 3pm this afternoon.

Liverpool’s match day squad has been confirmed folks and it’s an interesting one.

There were rumours rumbling around during the week that the Reds would be forced to rest players ahead of the second leg against Hoffenheim on Wednesday, with Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mané and Emre Can all touted to miss the fixture.

As it is however, both Henderson and Mané will start while Emre Can starts on the bench.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alberto Moreno have been handed a rest, with both excluded from the squad entirely, freeing up room for Andrew Robertson – who signed for £10m from Hull City this summer – to make his official Liverpool debut at left-back and Joe Gomez to feature on the other side.

Ragnar Klavan replaces Dejan Lovren, while James Milner steps into the midfield and Daniel Sturridge returns from injury to make his first start of the campaign.

Liverpool’s starting XI in full is as follows:

Simon Mignolet, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan, Andrew Robertson, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge

Bench: Loris Karius, Dejan Lovren, Jon Flanagan, Emre Can, Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke, Divock Origi

Whether the Reds line up in a diamond with Firmino in the ’10’ behind Sturridge and Mané, or in a 4-3-3 with Firmino playing wide will only be confirmed when they kick off in just under an hour’s time. You can follow all the action on our official Twitter account @RousingTheKop.
