Liverpool Football Club have announced the 22-man squad that will travel to Germany today to prepare for the first leg of their play-off against Hoffenheim.

Liverpool Football Club have confirmed their 22-man squad that’ll make the trip to Germany to play Hoffenheim in their Champions League play-off match on Tuesday night.

The squad list was posted in full to the club’s official website on Monday morning ahead of the Reds’ flight in the afternoon.

The only notable absentee in the list is striker Daniel Sturridge who was expected to be fit for the clash but will remain at Melwood for further treatment on the thigh problem he sustained against Bayern Munich earlier in the month. Injured trio Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Nathaniel Clyne were always set to miss the fixture.

Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke were absent from the match day squad for Saturday’s trip to Watford but both players are included in the 22 for the trip to Germany.

It remains to be seen whether Klopp will field the exact same XI against the German side that he did on Saturday but given the woeful defensive showing at Vicarage Road, it would come as no surprise to see one or two players rotated in and out.

Liverpool squad: Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Kent, Solanke, Origi, Gomez, Klavan, Flanagan, Robertson, Matip, Grujic, Mignolet, Karius, Ward.

The fixture kicks off at 7.45pm UK time with the return leg at Anfield scheduled for the same time on the 23rd.
